Soul Eater Afterstory Chap. 4

Black Star

"I can't believe that bastard! He leaves for 5 years then comes back and acts like a total jerk to everyone!" I yelled as I punched the wall of my apartment, leaving a hole in it.
"Black Star calm down." Tsubaki said to me as she put a soft hand on my shoulder.
Not thinking I swung my arm out as hard as a could, elbowing her in the stomach. She went flying back a few feet and landed with a large thump. Realizing what I did I ran to her crumpled body.
"Tsubaki!" I said as I ran to help her up. "Are you okay?"
She coughed a few times until she was finally able to answer.
"Y-yeah... I'm all right..." Tsubaki said with her quiet soothign voice.
I held her close to my chest. Damn, I hurt her. I need to get a grip.
I ran my hand up and down her back which was covered by her corse brown battle outfit. She tried to catch her breath from my blow as I layed her on the sofa.
"Black Star..." she said finally able to speak smoothly.
"Yeah Tsubaki?" I asked from the other side of the couch.
"You should'nt be so mad with Soul." Tsubaki said as she sat up slowly, "He may be a jerk, and does'nt always say the nicest things, but you're the same way ya know."
"Yeah but I did'nt leave the face of the Earth for 5 YEARS then come back without even saying a word." I answered coldly.
"That may be true but..." Tsubaki looked down thinking for a moment, "He was our comrade for a long time. You and Soul used to be best friends. Plus, he's a Death Sycthe now so you should at least respect him for that."
"So just because he has a little power now I should respect him? Tsubaki you don't understand. I'm mad at him because he was my best friend and my comrade. A best friend would'nt just leave without even telling his comrades and the people he's close to why at the least." I said turning to her. Geez, I sound like such a softy right now. Big stars don't act like this. But when I'm around Tsubaki... I just can't help spilling all my embaressing thoughts to her.
"Listen..." Tsubaki said softly to me as she put a gentle hand on my cheek. "At least try to keep from fighting with him okay?"
When I did'nt answer, she leaned foward and kissed me with those sweet lips of her's.
"For me?"
"Okay Tsubaki... for you." I told her as a leaned in for another kiss.
